### Author Biography

**Gretchen McNeil** has been a published young adult novelist since 2011, currently with Disney-Hyperion. Her latest YA novel is _Four Letter Word_, which came out in March of this year. Gretchen's novels have been published internationally in over a dozen languages. _Ten: Murder Island_, the film adaptation of _Ten_ starring China Anne McClain (_Descendants 2_, _Black Lightning_) premiered on Lifetime in 2017, and _Get Even_ and _Get Dirty_ have been adapted as the series _Get Even_ and _Rebel Cheer Squad_ a _Get Even_ series for BBC and Netflix. An adult horror short story she wrote for Assemble Media last year has already been optioned by a major studio. This is her first adult novel.
