### Author Biography

WINSTON GRAHAM is the author of more than forty novels, including _Cordelia_, _Marnie_, _The Walking Stick, Stephanie_, and the Poldark series. His novels have been translated into seventeen languages. Six of his books have been made into films, the most notable being _Marnie_ directed by Alfred Hitchcock. Two television series made from the Poldark novels were broadcast in twenty-two countries. Graham was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and in 1983 was awarded the OBE. He died in 2003.
