### Author Biography

**Thomas Perry** won an Edgar Award for _The Butcher's Boy_, and _Metzger's Dog_ was one of the _New York Times_'s Notable Books of the Year. His other books include _The Face-Changers_, _Shadow Woman_, _Dance for the Dead_, and _Vanishing Act_. He lives in Southern California with his wife and two daughters.

**CARL HIAASEN** was born and raised in Florida.
