### Author Biography

**Megan Abbott** is the award-winning author of eleven novels, including _New York Times_ bestseller _The Turnout_, which won the _Los Angeles Times_ Book Prize, _Give Me Your Hand_, _You Will Know Me_, _The Fever_, _Dare Me_, and _The End of Everything_. She received her PhD in literature from New York University. Her writing has appeared in the _New York Times_, _the Wall Street Journal_, the _Los Angeles Times Magazine_, the _Guardian_, and _The Believer_. She's the cocreator and executive producer of USA's adaptation of _Dare Me,_ now on Netlfix, and was a staff writer on HBO's David Simon show _The Deuce_. Abbott lives in New York City.
